LeapSpace - the research-grade AI workspace

We invite you to use LeapSpace, a virtual space for research which combines the advantages of responsible artificial intelligence with the world's largest collection of full texts and abstracts of peer-reviewed scientific publications from various publishers.

LeapSpace is a product of Elsevier, combining ScienceDirect AI and Scopus AI technology in one advanced tool, while offering additional functionalities.

LeapSpace:

  • works on the basis of over 18 million peer-reviewed articles and books published by Elsevier,  licensed articles available through subscription and open access articles from other leading publishers (including Emerald Publishing, IOP Publishing, NEJM Group, Sage) and a collection of abstracts from Scopus (over 100 million records, over 7,000 publishers),
  • ensures control by providing context, transparency and the ability to verify search results,
  • saves a significant amount of time, facilitates research, enhances collaboration and helps deepen the analysis of scientific content,
  • ensures privacy and security – search queries are encrypted and will not be used to train large language models.

Key features:

  • One seamless assistant: Generate ideas, plan projects, explore literature, identify collaborators, and discover funding in a single secure workspace
  • Trust cards: Explains why sources were cited and highlights contradictions, helping researchers calibrate the strength of the evidence with confidence
  • Deep research: Generate in-depth reports that highlight emerging patterns, contradictions, and evidence gaps that traditional searches often miss
  • Find funding: Access 45,000 active and recurring funding opportunities from 16,000+ government and private funding organizations
