How to become a user?

You can enroll in the following ways:

Your library account will be valid for the duration of your studies.

Your library card is your Electronic Student ID (ELS).

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you have a limit of 20 loans on your account in Main Library (55 - total limit for all loans registered on your account: both in the AGH University Main Library and in the branch libraries; applies to both external and on-site loans in the Reading Rooms),
  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Open Stacks Area for 150 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Fiction Library for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can use all reading rooms and study places,
  • you have remote access to e-resources,
  • you can use the Self-Study Reading Room and the ground floor area after the Library is closed (in limited hours),
  • you can use lockers, individual work cubicles, book drop and interlibrary loans,
  • books with restrictions on borrowing (valued over 800 PLN, you will see a proper note in online catalogue) can only be ordered to the Main Reading Room and must be used on site.

You can enroll in the following ways:

Your library account will be valid for the duration of your doctoral studies.

Your library card is your Electronic Student ID (ELD).

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you have a limit of 20 loans on your account in Main Library (55 - total limit for all loans registered on your account: both in the AGH University Main Library and in the branch libraries; applies to both external and on-site loans in the Reading Rooms),
  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Open Stacks Area for 150 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Fiction Library for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can use all reading rooms and study places,
  • you have remote access to e-resources,
  • you can use the Self-Study Reading Room and the ground floor area after the Library is closed (in limited hours),
  • you can use lockers, individual work cubicles, book drop and interlibrary loans.

You can enroll in the following ways:

Pick up your library card on your first visit to the Circulation Desk - just ask the librarian.

Your library account is valid for the entire duration of the employment contract, unless your contract ends earlier. In such a situation, the account is valid until the end date of your contract.

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you have a limit of 45 loans on your account in Main Library (150 - total limit for all loans registered on your account: both in the AGH University Main Library and in the branch libraries; applies to both external and on-site loans in the Reading Rooms),
  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Open Stacks Area for 150 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Fiction Library for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can use all reading rooms and study places,
  • you have remote access to e-resources,
  • you can use the Self-Study Reading Room and the ground floor area after the Library is closed (in limited hours, if ELSNA or ELP is your library card),
  • you can use lockers (if ELSNA or ELP is your library card), individual work cubiclesbook drop and interlibrary loans.

You can have a library account with the above privileges if you are an AGH teaching employee, AGH research employee or both at the same time.

You can enroll in the following ways:

Everyone can become a reading room user.

You can enroll in the following way:

  • in person at the Circulation Desk (make sure to have your ID/passport with you).

Your library account is valid for the current academic year.

The condition for activating your account for the next year is:

  • coming in person with an ID/passport to the Library.

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

To create a library account, you'll need an Electronic Student ID (ELS) with a hologram confirming your student status for the current semester of the academic year.

You can enroll in the following way:

  • in person at the Circulation Desk (make sure to have your Electronic Student ID (ELS) with you).

Your library account is valid for the current academic semester.

The conditions for activating your account for the next year/semester are:

  • valid student ID,
  • no outstanding items on your library account (overdue books and/or unpaid fees).

To activate your library account, come in person with your Electronic Student ID (ELS) to the Library.

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you have up to 5 loans,
  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Open Stacks Area for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can use all reading rooms and study places,
  • you can use book drop,
  • books with restrictions on borrowing (valued over 800 PLN, you will see a proper note in online catalogue) can only be ordered to the Main Reading Room and must be used on site.

To create a library account, you'll need an Electronic Student ID (ELD) with a hologram confirming your student status for the current semester of the academic year and an appendix (appendix F) stamped and signed by the University organizing the studies.

You can enroll in the following way:

  • in person at the Circulation Desk (make sure to have your Electronic Student ID (ELD) and the stamped appendix F with you).

Your library account is valid for the current academic year.

The conditions for activating your account for the next year are:

  • enrollment in the new academic year,
  • no outstanding items on your library account (overdue books and/or unpaid fees).

To activate your library account come in person with your Electronic Student ID (ELD) to the Library.

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you have up to 5 loans,
  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Open Stacks Area for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can use all reading rooms and study places,
  • you can use book drop,
  • books with restrictions on borrowing (valued over 800 PLN, you will see a proper note in online catalogue) can only be ordered to the Main Reading Room and must be used on site.

You can enroll in the following way:

  • in person at the Circulation Desk (make sure to have your Electronic Student ID (ELD) and the stamped appendix F with you),
  • remotely via the form, by sending an email to udo@bg.agh.edu.pl:
    • scan of appendix F with stamps and signatures of responsible unit plus date of graduation,
    • scan of valid Electronic Student ID (ELD) (both sides).

Your library account is valid for the current academic year.

The conditions for activating your account for the next year are:

  • enrollment in the new academic year,
  • no outstanding items on your library account (overdue books and/or unpaid fees).

To activate your library account come in person with your Electronic Student ID (ELD) to the Library.

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences,
  • Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences,
  • Maj Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences,
  • Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences,
  • Strata Mechanics Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences,
  • Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences,
  • AGH Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science,
  • AGH Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics.

In order to create a library account, you will need a stamped and legibly completed Faculty appendix G with the name of the supervisor clearly written, the date of graduation stated and a list of postgraduate students attached. The documents must be provided by the Faculty concerned to the AGH University Main Library. We will enrol you based on your entry on this list.

You can enroll in the following ways:

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),

  • you can use all reading rooms and study places,
  • you have remote access to e-resources,
  • you can use individual work cubicles, book drop and interlibrary loans,
  • books with restrictions on borrowing (valued over 800 PLN, you will see a proper note in online catalogue) can only be ordered to the Main Reading Room and must be used on site.

To create a library account you'll need a list of students and an appendix issued by the Deanery. The list and the appendix must be provided by the Faculty that organises the studies.

You can enroll in the following ways:

  • in person at the Circulation Desk (make sure to have your ID with you).

Your library account is valid for the current academic semester.

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you have a limit of 20 loans on your account in Main Library (55 - total limit for all loans registered on your account: both in the AGH University Main Library and in the branch libraries; applies to both external and on-site loans in the Reading Rooms),
  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Open Stacks Area for 150 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can use all reading rooms and study places,
  • you have remote access to e-resources,
  • you can use the Self-Study Reading Room and the ground floor area after the Library is closed (in limited hours, if ELS is your library card),
  • you can use lockers (if ELS is your library card), individual work cubicles, book drop and interlibrary loans,
  • books with restrictions on borrowing (valued over 800 PLN, you will see a proper note in online catalogue) can only be ordered to the Main Reading Room and must be used on site.

To create a library account you'll need a stamped and signed appendix H. The appendix needs to contain information about supervisor's name, studies start and completion date.

You can enroll in the following way:

  • in person at the Circulation Desk (make sure to have your ID/passport and the appendix H with you).

Your library account is valid for the current academic year.

The conditions for activating your account for the next year are:

  • enrollment in the new academic year,
  • no outstanding items on your library account (overdue books and/or unpaid fees).

To activate your library account, send an email to udo@bg.agh.edu.pl or come in person with your library card to the Library.

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you have a limit of 20 loans on your account in Main Library (55 - total limit for all loans registered on your account: both in the AGH University Main Library and in the branch libraries; applies to both external and on-site loans in the Reading Rooms),
  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Open Stacks Area for 150 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can use all reading rooms and study places,
  • you have remote access to e-resources,

  • you can use individual work cubicles, book drop and interlibrary loans.

Those working at AGH who have retired or are on pension are still entitled to use the Library. If you are both a retiree and an employee please let us know about it (send an email to udo@bg.agh.edu.pl, call us on +48 12 617 32 12 come in person with your ID to the Library.

To activate your library account, send an email to udo@bg.agh.edu.pl or come in person with your library card to the Library.

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

To create a library account, you'll need an appendix B. The appendix must signed and stamped by your employer.

You can enroll in the following way:

  • in person at the Circulation Desk (make sure to have your ID/passport and appendix B with you).

Your library account is valid for the current academic year.

The conditions for activating your account for the next year are:

  • delivering newly stamped and signed appendix B each year,
  • no outstanding items on your library account (overdue books and/or unpaid fees).

To activate your library account, come in person with your library card to the Library.

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you have up to 5 loans,
  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Open Stacks Area for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can use all reading rooms and study places,
  • you can use book drop,
  • books with restrictions on borrowing (valued over 800 PLN, you will see a proper note in online catalogue) can only be ordered to the Main Reading Room and must be used on site.

To create a library account, you'll need a cover letter (you can find a sample at the Circluation Desk).

You can enroll in the following way:

  • independently, by logging in to the AGH Libraries Catalogue - SSO AGH login (required authentication with e-mail address and password as for AGH mail; account will be active after 10 minutes).
  • in person at the Circulation Desk (make sure to have your ID/passport with you) - if you don't have AGH e-mail address.

Your library account is valid until the end date of your contract, project or grant.

The condition for activating your account for the next year is:

  • no outstanding items on your library account (overdue books and/or unpaid fees).

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you have a limit of 20 loans on your account in Main Library (55 - total limit for all loans registered on your account: both in the AGH University Main Library and in the branch libraries; applies to both external and on-site loans in the Reading Rooms),
  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Open Stacks Area for 150 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Fiction Library for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can use all reading rooms and study places,
  • you have remote access to e-resources,
  • you can use the Self-Study Reading Room and the ground floor area after the Library is closed (in limited hours, if ELP is your library card),
  • you can use lockers (if ELP is your library card), individual work cubiclesbook drop and interlibrary loans.

To create a library account, you'll need an appendix H signed by the Dean and stamped by your Faculty.

You can enroll in the following way:

  • in person at the Circulation Desk (make sure to have your ID/passport and the appendix H with you).

The library account is valid until the date shown in Appendix H.

With your library account, you'll have the following privileges:

  • you have a limit of 45 loans on your account in Main Library (150 - total limit for all loans registered on your account: both in the AGH University Main Library and in the branch libraries; applies to both external and on-site loans in the Reading Rooms),
  • you can borrow books from the Core Collection (location: BG-Magazyn) for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Open Stacks Area for 150 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),
  • you can borrow books from the Fiction Library for 60 days (you can extend the due date electronically by logging into your account),

To create a library account you'll need an appendix H. The appendix must be signed by your supervisor. You will also need a stamp of your Faculty.
