Library account

Rules for using a library account

You can log in to your library account via the AGH Libraries Catalogue.

AGH employees, AGH doctoral students and AGH students with an active e-mail account in the domain @agh.edu.pl or @student.agh.edu.pl:

  • login with SSO AGH - requires authentication with e-mail address and password as for AGH mail.

Other users - non-AGH students and employees, reading room users and readers who do not have an email in the agh.edu.pl domain:

  • login with your library card number and password.

The first login requires a password reset. To do this, click on the link "Need help signing in?", then "Click here to reset your password".

You can change your password after logging in to the AGH Libraries Catalogue. Please follow the screens. When changing your password, enter one of two options: your library card number or the email address you provided during registration.

If you lose your password:

  • Click on the link "Click here to reset your password".
  • Select and enter one of the two options: your library card number or the email address you provided during registration.
  • Within a few minutes you will receive an email with a link to reset your password.

After logging in to the AGH Libraries Catalogue, you can check the following information in the tab "My Library Account":

  • in the tab "Requests" - current list of orders and their statuses,
  • in the tab "Loans" - list of currently borrowed books, here you can renew return dates,
  • in the tab "Fine+fees" - any unpaid fees,
  • in the tab "Personal Details" - here you can check your personal data and change your email and/or password.

The library account is valid for a certain period of time for each user category. Check the expiration date and renewal policy for your library account.
You cannot log in to the AGH Libraries Catalogue if your account has expired.

Your library account will be locked in the following circumstances:

  • you have ten or more overdue books on your account,
  • you have unpaid fees,
  • your account validity has expired,
  • you are dismissed from the student roster,
  • your work contract has expired.

Locking your library account prevents you from borrowing books, as well as renewing the return dates.

To unlock your account, return the overdue books and pay the fees. Check the price list.

Failure to receive an e-mail reminder does not mean cancellation of the late return fee. In accordance with the Regulations, you are obliged to check the balance of your library account after each activity.

How to pay fees for overdue books and library services:

  1. You can pay fees for overdue books by logging into your library account and selecting Tpay e-payments.
  2. Payment in the Library:
    • Mon.-Fri. 8am-6pm at the Cashier's Office,
    • Mon.-Fri. from 6pm to 7:45pm and on Sat., payments are accepted at the Circulation Desk in the Library hall.
    You can pay by credit card, BLIK or cash on site.
  3. Bank transfer:
    • bank account number: 96 1240 4722 1111 0000 4858 2922  (AGH University of Krakow),
    • Payment reference: AGH University Main Library - for overdue books - name and surname.
    If you pay by bank transfer, send the confirmation of payment to oplaty@bg.agh.edu.pl. You will receive an email confirmation that the fee has been removed from your library account.

Additional information:

  • Book overdue fees are charged daily at PLN 0.20 per book until returned.
  • A renewal or return of books is required before fees can be paid.

You can also return books by post, the address:

  • A. Mickiewicz Ave. 30, 30-059 Kraków, U-1 building, AGH University Main Library, Circulation Desk.
  • Please attach information about your name and surname, ELS, ELD/library card number.
  • Prepare the package carefully so that it is not damaged during transport.
