Books in the genre of prose fiction (mainly novels, short stories and novellas), with a wide variety of themes, such as contemporary and popular science books, sensation and science fiction, biographies and memoirs, handbooks, children's and young adult literature. Most of the Fiction Library collection is available in the Open Stacks Area.
This collection is for AGH employees, AGH retirees and pensioners, AGH students and doctoral students. You'll need a valid library account.
All books can be found in the AGH Libraries Catalogue. You can borrow books with location BG-Beletrystyka (Wolny Dostęp) on your own using self-check machines or asking the librarian on duty. Books with location BG-Beletrystyka (Magazyn) can be reqested electronically upon loggin in to your library account.
Books from the Fiction Library stored in the Open Stacks Area can be requested by writing an email to udo@bg.agh.edu.pl or by calling us to +48 12 617 32 11.
Books requested in this way must be picked-up the same day at the Circulation Desk. Pending time for your order is one hour.
Search for your book in the AGH Libraries Catalogue. If the book you found has a location BG-Beletrystyka (Wolny Dostępy) and its status is "On the shelf" you can go to the shelf and take your book to the self-check machine. Within each subject, the books are arranged in alphabetical order according to the following rules:
When a book has a BG-Beletrystyka (Magazyn) location and an "On the shelf" status, you can order it directly from the catalogue to the Circulation Desk and pick it up there. Remember to log in to your library account beforehand.
