Library Council

The role of the Library Council

The Library Council is appointed by the Rector of AGH University. It is appointed as a consultative and advisory body on the library and information system of AGH University. The term of Library Council is four years and begins on 1 Oct. in the year of the AGH University's Rector election and ends on 30 Sep. in the year in which the Rector's term of office expires.
The Library Council consists of: Vice-Chancellor for Science (chairman), the Director of the AGH University Main Library and his deputies, 4 representatives of the AGH University Main Library staff, 6 AGH teachers (representatives of the Discipline Councils), 1 representative of the Branch Libraries, 1 representative of the University Council of Doctoral Students' Government, 2 representatives of the University Council of Students' Government.
