Knovel, published by Elsevier, includes over 11,000 books, conference proceedings, and data on properties of materials such as chemicals, plastics, metal alloys, composites, optical glasses, and materials used in electronics. In addition, Knovel offers access to analysis tools including more than 2,000 interactive spreadsheets containing examples of calculations in the fields of chemistry, electronics, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, metals, and oil and gas engineering. Resources come from more than 150 leading scientific societies and publishers.

According to the license agreement, it is prohibited to:
