The GPI includes data from the EPO's Espacenet database as well as detailed information about the legal status of documents. Links to the full texts of documents are also available. GPI offers search capabilities through more than 100 different criteria, including publication number, publication date, priority number, priority date, designated countries, IPC symbols, creator and patentee names, patent family, titles, and abstracts. GPI allows users to conduct research on the state of the art in the global patent literature.
