How to use the collections
Use of the Main Library Collections
All collections of the Library can be used in the reading rooms after registering with the Library and presenting a valid library card or student's electronic card (ELS) or doctoral student's card (ELD). Only books may be borrowed outside the Library.
Employees, PhD students and AGH students can access licensed e-resources from anywhere in the world via Proxy Server. This is not possible for those resources whose licenses or technical limitations do not allow it. To use the service, you must have an active account with the Main Library. A library account can be created on-site at the Circulation Desk and is valid until October 31 of each year. After that date, activation of account for new academic year is required.
Currently AGH students, doctoral students and employees have the possibility to register with the Library remotely, just complete the appropriate registration form. It is also possible to renew the account or update the data on the library account remotely. To do so, please contact us by email at: udo[at]bg.agh.edu[dot]pl
Access to the Proxy Server in the university network (without individual logging in) is possible in those departments which have registered their IP addresses with the Main Library. Other users can access e-resources in the reading rooms of the Main Library (provided the licenses allow it).
Some e-resources are available single-station from computers in the Reference Department or Special Collections Department.
